Mom & Dad's New Home

They are moved and the unpacking has begun.  Below is a picture of the front.  I'll post inside and more outside pictures once everything is straight and in the right place! :)

Happy 14th Birthday Sarah

Sarah turned 14 today!  She hasn't had a chance to celebrate with friends because she spent the day at the auction of her Great Aunt and Great Uncle's property.  It was a bittersweet day.  Sweet because it was our baby's 14th birthday and sad because we witnessed the selling of property of those we loved. 

After returning home from the auction, Sarah opened gifts.  I finished decorating her cake.  We enjoyed a birthday dinner at Demos' and finished the night with cake and ice cream. 

I've promised Sarah after Christmas she could have her official birthday celebartion with friends or her cousin, Delany.  If I know Sarah, she will choose to spend time with Delaney.

A Whirlwind November

November came and went in a blur.  Mom and Dad agreed to move to Murfreesboro.  We were fortunate to find a condo (close to Jeff's family and my family), one level, covered carport in a nice complex.  An offer was made to the sellers and accepted.  Mom and Dad have been busy packing.  Tommy and I have been busy handling the financial aspects.  Target close date is December 10th with a move date of December 18th.  It will be a crazy Christmas, but I will be glad to have Mom and Dad closer to us.  For the first time in 20 years, I will be living in the same town as my parents!!

Jamfest - 2nd Cheer Competition

The second competition of the year was Jamfest held in Nashville at the Municipal Auditorium.  The girls' team placed 2nd.  It was exciting as usual.

First Competition of the Season

On Sunday, October 24th, we had the first cheer competition of the season at Cheersport in Nashville.  The girls are on the same squad this year (yippee!).  Their squad placed 3rd out of 6 teams.  Congrats Elite!

Delaney Receives Daisy Pin

Delaney is a Girl Scout Daisy and she officially received her pin today.  There to celebrate with her were Nanny, Poppy, Daddy, Mommy, Emily, Sarah, and Aunt Tammy.  Her mother, Lori, is troop leader and she planned the festivities.  Delaney was proud and loved having her family there.

Fall Break

Fall break has been great this year.  The weather has been gorgeous and the company outstanding.  We went to Dollywood, the Nascar SpeedPark, and had a picnic at Chimney Top picnic area in the Smokey Mountains. 

We've had some awesome family time - laughing and enjoying being together.  This has been the best vacation I've had in a really long time.

The Fall Festival at Delaney's School

My niece, Delaney, is now in Kindergarten.  Her school had their Fall Festival on Friday, September 17th.  She invited us to attend.  Emily had to work, but Sarah and I went.  Delaney was excited and enjoyed every minute of her first festival at her school.  Enjoy the pictures!

New Addition to the Family

Tommy and I finally gave in and purchased a 3rd car.  On Saturday, September 25, 2010, we welcomed a 2005 Nissan Sentra into the family.  Emily will be driving this new vehicle and has already started making it hers by hanging a black & white zebra print hair bow from the rear view mirror.  Our new family member has been washed, vacuumed and constantly admired.  Tonight it took its first of many trips to Elite Energy where Emily works and both she and Sarah cheer.  As for me....well, I pushed for the 3rd vehicle because I was tired of being on the go constantly.  Now I'm just hoping we made the right decision and choice!  Wish us luck!

1st Day of School

Today Sarah started her last year in Middle School and Emily began her 3rd year of High School.  Where has the time gone?

Seagrove Beach, Florida

After much discussion, debating, and pleading from the girls, we took our vacation to the beach.  This year we decided to try a different location and went to Seagrove Beach, Florida.  It was nice for a change but I think the whole family agrees, we like Perdido Key better.

Regardless, we had a great time.  The only one not to get a sunburn was Sarah.  It must have been the 50 spf sunscreen I bought her that did the trick!
